Over the years, the Bright family has owned and operated companies in the areas of Energy, Real Estate, Banking, Mortgage Lending, Transportation, Truck Leasing, Hospitality, and Sports Entertainment, among others.
Bright Equities makes investments in strategically viable operating companies. We seek platform companies that can be scaled by both organic growth and subsequent acquisitions within their space. We look for management teams who want a partner that will help them take their business to its next level of growth. Our goal is to provide strategic guidance in support of growth and to create efficiencies by leveraging Bright Industries' extensive back office support and the depth of expertise the Bright family has gained from operating companies for over 70 years.
We entertain all types of investments and investment structures, but primarily focus on acquisitions with the following criteria:
Industry: We are industry agnostic.
Stage: Generally, we avoid early stage investments and focus on identifying companies with stable and growing revenues.
Management: Continuity in management or a clearly defined transition plan for management is a key requirement.
Equity: We look for opportunities where we can acquire a controlling interest in a company. Alignment of interests and skin in the game
are essential to success. Therefore, we prefer partners that will retain equity post transaction.
Investment range: We typically make equity investments of between $1 million and $10 million.
